Calendar software is ubiquitous, with options for everyone no matter how simple or complex your needs. As the name suggests, Classic Calendar falls more into the simple category, with the features you would expect from a traditional calendar and not much else.
The program's interface is plain and easy to navigate, consisting of a basic-looking calendar and an Options menu at the top. The calendar's color scheme is highly customizable; users can select the colors for the main background, date boxes, empty boxes, calendar text, and highlighted days. Users can also select the font they want to use and choose to have Monday displayed as the first day of the week, but that's about it in terms of features.
Adding an event to the calendar is as simple as clicking on the desired date and entering your text. There are no alarms, reminders, or other bells or whistles; Classic Calendar functions very much the way a paper wall calendar would. The program does come with a surprisingly detailed Help file, making it suitable even for those who are not very computer literate. Overall, Classic Calendar didn't do much to impress us, but we didn't find significant fault with it, either; it's a fine choice for anyone looking for a traditional calendar that doesn't have a lot of fancy features.
